By using new-world innovation and technology, LexVeritas empowers law firms to free themselves of the daily challenges of effectively managing the finance, IT, and HR functions. Our specialist staff and integrated solutions allow our clients to focus on what they do best – provide legal services to their clients.

We Saw the Challenges Facing Law Firms’ Operations

The way in which mid-tier law firms run their operations across Finance, IT and People & Culture varies greatly. In many instances, office managers must assume responsibilities across all three of these core functions, often without the specialised staff required to run them effectively. When specialist advice or knowledge is required, firms often adopt a fragmented approach by engaging external consultants and advisors such as outsourced IT providers and accountants. They are usually only engaged to assist in a limited scope of service. This can be expensive for the firm and not yield value.

External providers often have technical depth however are working with a large breadth of clients in different industries and the practical application and nuances of legal are often misunderstood. The other challenge is that these vendors only support one area of the operations, meaning the office manager may have to navigate a set of disjointed vendor relationships – different account managers, different contracts, and different billing scenarios. Furthermore, most of these consultants are not legal experts that are looking for new ways and technology to drive innovation to support a law firm’s growth.

Emily joins LexVeritas from Lawyers on Demand, as an award-winning HR strategist and lawyer, with innovation, leadership and project management experience. Emily holds a current practising certificate and has enjoyed various legal secondments throughout her career, including Clayton Utz and the Brisbane Airport Corporation.
